HANOI VESPA COUNTRYSIDE TOUR

TOUR HIGHLIGHT:

Ride a vintage Vespa across Hanoi’s iconic Long Bien Bridge, explore peaceful rice paddies and ancient villages, visit the historic Co Loa Citadel, experience the lively atmosphere of a local market, relax with authentic Vietnamese coffee by the train tracks, and enjoy a traditional Vietnamese meal.

DETAIL ITINERARY:

Pick-up & Tour Briefing
Your professional Vespa driver and English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel in the Old Quarter. After a short introduction and safety briefing, you’ll hop on the back of a vintage Vespa and begin your adventure beyond the city.

Long Bien Bridge & Red River Ride
Start the journey by crossing the historic Long Bien Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1902. From here, enjoy spectacular views of the Red River and the surrounding farmlands. The ride continues along the riverbank, where you’ll witness farmers at work and daily rural activities.

Rice Paddies & Countryside Lanes
Leave the busy streets behind and follow narrow paths through endless green rice paddies. Feel the thrill of off-road riding while learning about wet rice cultivation, the backbone of Vietnamese agriculture. Depending on the season, you may see locals planting or harvesting rice.

Visit an Ancient Village (Over 900 Years Old)
Step back in time as you arrive at a centuries-old village. Stroll around its traditional houses, some built hundreds of years ago, and discover preserved architecture that reflects the lifestyle and culture of Northern Vietnam. Your guide will share stories of local traditions passed down through generations.

Local Market Experience
Continue the ride to a vibrant village market where locals buy and sell fresh produce, household goods, and daily essentials. Wander around, interact with vendors, and taste fresh tropical fruits while soaking up the authentic rural atmosphere.

Explore Co Loa Ancient Citadel
A highlight of the trip is the visit to Co Loa Citadel, Vietnam’s first capital dating back to 257 BC under King An Duong Vuong. Walk among ancient relics, learn about the legend of the magic crossbow, and understand the citadel’s importance in Vietnamese history.

Coffee Stop by the Train Tracks
After exploring history, relax with a cup of traditional Vietnamese coffee at a small café located right by Hanoi’s iconic railway tracks. For a special treat, try the city’s signature Egg Coffee. As you sip, watch trains pass by just a few centimeters away from the narrow houses-a truly unique Hanoi experience.

Authentic Vietnamese Meal
To complete the tour, enjoy a delicious set menu of Vietnamese dishes at a local restaurant. Morning tours finish with lunch, while afternoon tours begin with lunch before the ride.

Return to Hotel
After the meal, your Vespa driver will ride you back to your hotel or drop you at a location of your choice in Hanoi. Say goodbye to your guide and take home unforgettable memories of Hanoi’s countryside life.
