Pick-up & Departure from Hanoi Old Quarter

Our friendly Hanoi Jeep team will collect you directly from your hotel in the Old Quarter. As soon as the engine starts, your adventure begins. Leaving the lively streets behind, we drive through winding alleys, bustling boulevards, and finally onto quieter country roads. The transition is remarkable: within minutes, the noise of scooters and horns fades away, replaced by fresh air, open fields, and the peaceful rhythm of rural life.

Crossing the Red River & Village Life

We’ll cross the bridge over the Red River and enter a different world. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in the calm atmosphere of the villages, where daily life moves at a slower pace. Driving through the Red River Delta, you’ll see lush green rice paddies, local farmers at work, and have the chance to interact with villagers to learn about their traditions and lifestyle.
 
Visit a Local Market

Next, we stop at a traditional countryside market - a lively hub where locals gather to trade and socialize. Wander through rows of fresh produce, fragrant herbs, colorful fruits, and handmade goods. The market offers an authentic glimpse of daily life: women bargaining over fish, farmers unloading vegetables, and the aroma of freshly cooked street snacks drifting through the air. For many travelers, this visit is a highlight, as it feels like stepping back in time.

Co Loa Ancient Citadel & An Duong Vuong Temple

From the market, our Jeep takes you to one of Vietnam’s most important historical landmarks: Cổ Loa Citadel. Dating back to 247 BC, this site was the capital of the Âu Lạc Kingdom under King An Dương Vương. Surrounded by ancient earthen walls and moats, Cổ Loa is steeped in legend and national pride.

Here, you’ll visit the temple dedicated to King An Dương Vương, where your guide will bring history to life with fascinating stories about the citadel’s construction, the mythical magic crossbow, and the battles that shaped Vietnam’s early identity. Standing in this historic place, you’ll understand why every Vietnamese student learns about Cổ Loa in school.
 
Farm Visit & Fresh Tropical Fruits

Back on the Jeep, we continue along quiet village paths until we reach a family-owned farm. The hosts will warmly welcome you and invite you to walk through their orchards. Depending on the season, you might see bananas, guavas, longans, or other tropical fruits growing in abundance. Here, you’ll be invited to taste freshly picked fruit straight from the trees - a simple but unforgettable pleasure. This visit not only refreshes you but also gives you a deeper appreciation of how farmers in the Red River Delta rely on the land for their livelihoods

Scenic Ride Along the Red River & Lunch

As the tour winds down, the Jeep takes you on one last scenic ride along the backroads of the Red River. The views are spectacular: endless rice fields stretching to the horizon, farmers returning from work, and the glow of the late afternoon sun painting the landscape in golden colors. If you’re on the morning tour, we’ll stop for a delicious local lunch, where you can enjoy traditional dishes that reflect the flavors of the countryside. Afterward, our team will drive you back to Hanoi and drop you at your hotel, bringing an end to a memorable journey.
